Judiciary History Center

A young, energetic, small museum, the King Kamehameha V – Judiciary History Center focuses on traditional Hawaiian concepts of law and the development of a Western judicial system. Located in Ali`iolani Hale, one of Honolulu’s most historically significant buildings and the home of Hawai`i’s Supreme Court, the Center interprets over 200 years of dynamic legal history through audiovisual presentations, exhibitions, and public programs. The Judiciary History Center serves as a bridge between the Judiciary and the community, enlightening school children and visitors alike about the importance of the Judiciary to our democratic society.
